Our Psychologists have availability for face-to-face and online appointments for adults, adolescents and children.
Seeking psychological therapy is an important step, and feeling comfortable with your psychologist is essential. If Afrikaans is your first language, therapy in Afrikaans can help you express your thoughts and feelings more naturally, and talk about your concerns in a way that reflects your culture and experiences.
At MindBox Psychology, we offer therapy in Afrikaans for children, adolescents and adults with Mimi van Wyk, a Clinical Psychology Registrar who speaks English and Afrikaans. Mimi works with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, perfectionism, self-esteem difficulties, grief and life transitions, ADHD, and much more. When working with children and teenagers, Mimi can also see parents in Afrikaans.
Mimi sees clients face-to-face at our St Leonards rooms and by telehealth (video or phone), so Afrikaans speakers anywhere in Australia can see her.
