Meet Our Psychologists

Referring to MindBox Psychology

Thank you for considering MindBox Psychology for your patients. We are a team of clinical psychologists and clinical psychology registrars in St Leonards on Sydney’s North Shore. We see children, adolescents and adults, face-to-face or by telehealth anywhere in Australia.

You are welcome to call us on 02 9438 2511 to check current availability for a particular age group, concern or language.

A referral addressed to “MindBox Psychology” is fine; we will match your patient with a suitable therapist. If you would like your patient to see a particular psychologist, please name them in the referral.

Medicare and the Mental Health Treatment Plan

Under the Better Access initiative, eligible patients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan can claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year. Referrals generally need to come from the patient’s usual GP or MyMedicare practice. The first referral covers up to 6 sessions, after which the patient returns to you for review before further sessions.

Patients can also see us without a referral and without Medicare rebates, or use private health insurance extras where their policy covers psychology. More information about fees and rebates is on our FAQs page.

What Happens After You Refer

  1. We book your patient’s initial assessment and send you a letter confirming the referral and which psychologist they will see.
  2. Your patient attends their assessment, face-to-face in St Leonards or by telehealth.
  3. At the end of the initial course of sessions, the psychologist sends you a written report covering the assessment, treatment provided and recommendations, so you can review your patient’s plan.

Some of our psychologists offer therapy in Mandarin and Cantonese, Korean and Afrikaans, as well as English.

Sessions are available face-to-face at our rooms at Suite 306, Level 3, 480 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW 2065, or by telehealth anywhere in Australia.
