All About Me

Micaela is a warm, approachable, and down-to-earth Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about creating a space where clients feel genuinely comfortable being themselves. She understands that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and aims to provide a relaxed, non-judgemental environment where clients can talk openly about whatever is on their mind-especially the things that feel uncomfortable, difficult or embarrassing to say out loud.

Micaela believes that meaningful therapy starts with feeling safe, understood, and accepted. She loves helping clients work through the thoughts, behaviours, and patterns that may be holding them back, while also recognising that therapy doesn’t have to feel overly clinical or serious all the time. She values authenticity, connection, and humour, and enjoys sharing a laugh with clients when appropriate.

Micaela works collaboratively with clients and draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Her approach is flexible and tailored to each person’s unique goals, strengths, and experiences.

She has a particular interest in working with adults experiencing anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, and stress. She also has a keen interest in performance anxiety amongst professional musicians. Micaela enjoys helping clients better understand how their minds work, develop practical coping strategies, and build confidence in situations that matter most to them.

Micaela has worked across a range of public and private mental health settings, providing both individual and group-based interventions. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA, registration number: PSY0002263569). During her studies, she researched embodiment. Micaela has a keen interest in the impacts of chronic stress on the body.

Micaela offers appointments both in person and via telehealth.
