Her predominant approach to assessment and therapy is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which she complements with other approaches including mindfulness, aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for more chronic and complex conditions, and family-based parent management interventions for child anxiety and conduct issues.
Macy has clinical experience in various settings, including hospitals (the Kiloh Centre, a psychiatric unit at the Prince of Wales Hospital and Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and Department of Psychology at Gosford Hospital) and private practices, servicing client populations from children to older adults with diverse needs.
