Children with attachment disorders generally have difficulty connecting to others and managing their emotions. This can result in a lack of trust and self-worth, a fear of getting close to anyone, anger, and a need to be in control. This could result from unusual early experiences of neglect, abuse, or abrupt separation from caregivers.
If you would like to find out more about our treatment for attachment disorders, or to book an appointment with one of our child clinical psychologists who can help with attachment issues, please make an enquiry or call the clinic on 02 9438 2511.
